BioWare Paper Cups
BioWare paper Cups are manufactured using a plastic coating that has been derived from oil, the same as a PE coated cup, but this coating is compostable in accordance with EN13432. These cups can be recycled in the same way as standard PE cups.The Paper Cup Company has not opted to manufacture cups from this material, as although it is cheaper than PLA coatings it is still more expensive than PE, also we feel that composting should be discouraged, as the best route is recycling into paper products like hand towels, toilet rolls or energy recovery, these can be achieved with any paper cup PLA, PE or Bioware Paper Cups.
Bioware Paper Cups are available from Huhtamaki and other manufactures.
They are available in counter service and vending cups
Bio Coated 9oz Paper Vending cups are the same size as The Paper Cup Company 8oz Tall paper vending cups.
The 8oz Tall Paper Vending cup is available in Green Cup, Raffe and White.
